The summit, tagged “Consolidating the growth” is geared towards facilitating strategic engagement between the private and public sector, as well as other critical stakeholders in the agricultural sector to hatch homegrown solutions to challenges confronting the nation’s agriculture.
Accordingly, this year’s convocation provides a distinctive platform for stakeholders to track and enhance Nigeria’s race towards self-sufficiency in agricultural production.
This is informed by the need to appraise advancements so far recorded in the sector, while beaming a searchlight on frameworks for sustainability.
In addition, the summit which is supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB), Triton Group, Stallion Group, Notore Plc, Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN), Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, Fullmark and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector, also seeks to address key national agricultural productivity issues like finance, market access, research, infrastructure, mechanization, ICT, youth and gender as well as apposite policies and legislation.
On the other hand, the Nigeria Agriculture Awards is designed to celebrate individuals who have contributed immensely to the development of the Nigerian agricultural sector, across varied value chains.
